The chair is in good condition for its age. It is a perfectly usable chair and can be sat on. The original gilding is worn but highly decorative. The silk on the seat pad is worn in places. Again, we love the way this looks, but it could easily be replaced.
This antique side chair would be perfect for a traditional dining room.
