A beautiful antique cold painted lead figural desktop thermometer, attributed to German maker Georg Heyde. A super charming piece, with a naturalistic tree form, and a beautifully detailed rabbit at the base. With a small glass thermometer attached to the trunk, and in working order. With some age related paint loss, and I haven't cleaned it, so it may brighten up considerably. The rabbit is finely formed, suggestive of Georg Heyde's work. It has the look of an Austrian bronze, however the lead material is much softer. A rare and fabulous piece. Stands approximately 9.5cm tall. Please see photos for condition.
