An antique late Georgian toddy or punch ladle, c.1800, with the traditional twisted wooden stem. I believe the bowl is pewter; if it is silver, it is very tarnished, and I have not been able to find any hallmarks or makers' marks on it, aside from an engraved 'W' near the handle.
