Antique French rustic grape harvesting basket made from oak and dating from the early 1900s. Originally made for workers to wear or carry to gather grapes during the wine harvest. It features traditional coopered construction, built from vertical oak wood slats bound together by bentwood bands. Ideal for using as an umbrella stand, fireside kindling holder or decorative display piece. Very good condition. Sourced in France. Approx height 54cm, approx width 27cm, approx depth 20cm.
