Here we have a beautiful antique art nouveau trinket dish or card tray. I believe this example to be French, dating from to around 1890-1910. I have seen a couple of other examples being described as being Japanese, bronze, rice winnowing baskets but I do not believe this is accurate.I expect this is made of cast brass and it has a beautiful harvest design, which is likely influenced from the rice winnowing baskets.
