A hand coloured aquatint showing Dieppe harbour and town, and titled 'Dieppe, Vue Generale du Côté du Nord'. Dating from around 1820-40, engraved by Salathé, from an original by Luttringshausen. Lovely detail and still with good strong colouring. A very interesting historical scene. Completely original with framer/retailer label and backing intact. Wear commensurate with age. Slight discolouration to parts of the outer edges. Frame has been treated for signs of previous worm. There is some dust and specks between the glass and the image, but I don't believe it affects the image itself.
