This is a white metal Sovereign case. The case opens by pressing a button in on the stem. The case opens to reveal two sprung compartments which hold full and half Sovereigns. The 1£ spring cover is missing....see photographs. The case has a plain finish. It measures 60mm x 50mm (including ring) x 14mm. The case signs of wear, it is possibly plated and some of the finish has been worn off. (See photos) Not sure of the age but it suggests late 1800s Early 1900s.
