Very pretty pierced antique bon-bon dish. In the late Victorian and Edwardian eras these were often used to serve small treats at the table such as Bon-bons, candied fruits, nuts or small pastries. The pierced gallery around the sides was a very popular decorative style that made the dish look lighter and more elegant.
