An unusual pair of early Victorian German made silver plate candlesticks. Marked P G S with a fleur de lys & ? worn mark. Retailed by Silber & Fleming, London. Established in 1856 and closed in 1886. In a light gothic style. c1860. No detachable drip catchers at the top. Approx: 243 mm high, base 143 diameter. Weight 957g. In used condition, signs of age. The plate has a pale gold showing generally. Some of the pointed parts on the base are squashed at the tips.
