Black marble top, seven drawers in front, the first of which is in the molded band beneath the top, the third and fourth drawers acting as drop-leaf doors, concealing a green cloth storage compartment on the inside surface. The chest consists of five drawers and an open compartment in maple. Uprights with twisted half-columns, turned feet, oak interiors, and brass flush fittings. France, mid-19th century.
