Antique 19th century (?) book bookbinding press from Sedille and Co. Paris. Plate size 280mm x 220mm with a throat of 50mm. At some point in its history, the upper plate has cracked and a new piece of metal added below it. You can just see the marks of the break and the screw heads holding the plate in place but it is so subtle you can scarcely notice it. It is a lovely thing and I am sad to part with it but I have a second book press and do not really have the space for two. It is a heavy item and would probably cost about £20 to ship which is part of the buy it now price. Pick up in person welcome!
