c1850 portable writing desk. Made of hardwood with brass edges, catch and inlay with an empty cartouche. Has Imperfections and good patina , nicely aged with wear reflective of the period. Nice solid condition with no rot or woodworm, with lid, hasp and hinges working as they should. No nasty damage, little brass edges missing in places but considering age very forgivable and certainly adds to the piece. Please study photos as there are many signs of age. Obviously posted as a bulky parcel.
