A beautiful, heavy antique patinated bronze sculpture of a sleeping/reclining Deerhound (often cataloged as a Greyhound, Wolfhound, Lurcher). This piece is a high-quality period recast after the famous 19th-century French Animalier sculptor Paul Joseph Raymond Gayrard (1807–1855), modeled after his famous 1848 design.
