Antique Bronze Figure Of A Soldier With Raised Sword By Johannes Boese 1883. This lovely bronze figure depicts a soldier wearing his classical uniform and hat and is cast in wonderful detail. The piece has a fantastic amount of intricacy for its size and has a lovely finish. The soldier is then shown with his sword raised although i’m not sure if the sword has been repaired at some stage. The whole piece is then mounted to an ebonised, turned base which finishes it beautifully. The bronze is then signed to the small ring beneath the base “J Boese 1883” to show that the piece was made by Johannes Boese. It measures approximately: - 7” / 17.75cm Tall. - 2.25” / 5.75cm Wide. - 4.5” / 11.5cm Deep.
