This is an Art Nouveau or Chinoiserie inspired stick/ umbrella stand dating from the early 1900s. A simple cylinder shape, flared top and bottom with what we think is a a mulberry plant design climbing up and around the sides. The sinuous stems and leaves are relief, sometimes standing proud of the surface. Including two moths or butterflies (possibly silk moths) in the classic Victorian chinoiserie design. Approximate measurements: 36cm high 27 wide at the base 24cm wide at the opening Feel free to ask for more pictures and information Before making an offer, please be sure you’ve checked all the photos and sought clarification on anything you are unsure of.
