An extraordinary 19th century French stool, shield-like shape to its tree slice top—with bark to the underside, very chunky. The legs are wonderfully bold, with exceptional chunky bobbin turning. Set on a tripod base, very solid. Used condition as found with some surface wear through use as shown. Measures 30.8cm deep x 26cm wide at the top x 38.5cm high.
