A stunning and heavy-gauge traditional French Copper ware Likely from the Normandy region (Villedien-Les-Poeles) I purchased this as part of a collection of French Copper Ware in the early 1990s. That dated back to 1903. Features hand wrought dovetail (cramp) joints. The side tabs holding the chains are elegantly heart shaped, typical of regional Normandy artisan work. This weighs approximately 2.2kg. Approximately 11” diameter. Beautiful antique patina with visible hammer marks. Structurally sound, with no major damage. Just the wonderful character you would expect from a piece this age. Please see pictures for more details.
