Offered here without reserve is this antique19th C mahogany lap desk with a single dovetailed drawer that measures 19 3/4 inches wide x 10 3/4" deep x 8 1/4 inches high. In overall excellent condition and bearing its original surface it has however been reconditioned in two ways. First, the felt writing surface has been replaced. Second, the uncommon unfolding paper filing holder, integral to the desk, has been restored in that the original side fabric, what had badly deteriorated, has been replaced with a simple ribbon so that it opens as intended (see my last picture). The only other potential apology is the bit of roughness to the edge of the wood near the lock .. see my next to last picture. Domestic shipping will run $40.
