This piece was made in Cairo, Egypt, from the "Street of the Tentmakers." It was made for a souvenir for travelers after King Tuts tumb was found in the 1920s. It has been appliqued and embroidered . There are two birds, Ibis (Thoth) and an Egyptian. It measures 17.25" x 18.25", it is pretty good condition with damage on one corner.
