This antique come vintage heavy (59.7 grams) silver white metal claret wine decanter is a rare and unique collectible item. Crafted from white metal very similar, it commands a presence far outweighing other wine labels made from lower gage metal. It would therefore add importance to a decanter containing Bordeaux claret wine or even hung over an undecanted bottle. The style, with the riven back was all the rage in the mid 20th century, however, it could have been made in the early part of the century in the reigns of George VI, George V, or Edward VII.
