This is an early 1900’s Lewis E. Myers & Co. Chautauqua Industrial Art Desk. It has a scrolling learning plan that includes a variety of lessons (some shared in the pics). The scroll is in excellent condition (even the colors are vibrant) with the exception of a 2” gash on the scroll where the flower scene is showing (see pics). While there is no cover to this desk, all knobs are in place, hinges are intact, and it scrolls as it should. The two books (The Heath Readers Primary Edition (1903) and One Hundred Best Poems for Boys and Girls (1913)) are included and may have been used by students who used this desk. The wood has scuffing, scratching, snd cracking, but the item is sturdy. The back has the original map which has some wear on the edges and water damage. This item is wired to hang.
