John D McKenzie founded the Newlyn Industrial Class in 1890. His idea was to provide an artistic centre of excellence in Newlyn. He invited John Pearson to teach the class from 1892. Here we have an excellent example of a circa 1895-1900 Arts and crafts copper chamber stick, by John Pearson of the Newlyn school.
