The shallow dish has raised edges, and a flat base which bears The Wineries Heraldic Crest, together with the legends: 'Le Grand Vin De France"Ets Saint Ferdinand'. On the reverse is a makers mark which consists of an angel set within a oval shape beaded band, and there is also a small hanging eye, should you wish to use it as a display piece.
