A Wm Souter & Son Birmingham. Antique Victorian Copper &Brass Kettle. With Rare Hinged Lid. Makers mark indicates Pre 1868 I would assume the no. 6 next to the makers stamp, denotes the size of the kettle. It has the usual acorn finial in brass plus brass handle supports and a rounded brass finish around the kettle’s opening. Good antique display condition with age-related wear, tarnish, surface marks, some dents and signs of use, as photographs show. Sold as a decorative antique item, not tested for modern use, tho there are no breaks in the base or body of the kettle.
