This is a good, well carved vintage French Montparnasse frame, size 10F, measuring 55cm x 46cxm (view) frame size 72cm x 64cm. Attractively painted with reds and blacks showing through makes it a very beautiful period frame. There are some losses to the paint in one corner but this adds to its overall presence and authenticity. On the reverse there is some evidence of old wood worm (no loner active) I've tried to show both in photo's. Nonetheless a very attractive and decorative frame.
