The plate is made by John Ridgway, Shelton, Hanley, Staffordshire. A fine quality antique green and sepia transfer printed stoneware pottery plate decorated with A " Villa " design. The plate has wear consistent with age and use as one might expect and as shown, glaze pooling and a glaze frit on the reverse.
