The plate is made by John Ridgway, Shelton, Hanley, Staffordshire. A fine quality antique green and sepia transfer printed stoneware pottery plate decorated with A " Villa " design. The plate has wear consistent with age and use as one might expect and as shown, the slightly darker craze line coming from the mark of the reverse does not show on the front.
