Archaeologic site work includes fine sifting looking for Beads that may have adorned the deceased. These are from around the Mohenjo Daro site and were collected by workers mid 1900s. The turquoise has the patina consistent with the age. There are a couple of shell or ceramic found along with the turquoise. The turquoise source is from the general area, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Persia.. that and time under ground causes the differing shades of patina. The creation of the Beads from this material represents a considerable amount of labor and skill.
