This display contains a set of replica trade tokens from the Industrial Revolution era, typically produced as educational souvenirs for museum shops. The set features high-quality moulded replicas based on original tokens found in museum collections. These tokens, often called Conder Tokens, were privately minted in the late 18th century to address a severe shortage of official small change.
