These porcelain teacups are genuine Rosenthal antiques (1898-1906) in the highly sought after Sanssouci pattern. The molded delicate trellis border mimics the Rococo stucco ceilings of Frederick the Great's Sanssouci Palace in Potsdam Germany. They are in a beautiful hand painted floral bouquet design with factory original 22-carat stippled/sponge gilding. The solid gold linework along the outer edges of the handles shows minor, honest age related wear/rubbing from handling, as expected with genuine porcelain of this age. No chips, cracks hairline fractures or flea-bites. Rings nicely when gently tapped. Made in Germany, these original cups exude a timeless elegance with their intricate design. These beautiful antique Rosenthal cups are an unusual find and are not commonly available.
