Incredibly detailed and rare cast iron herons from the Sun Foundry Glasgow. These almost certainly came from a drinking fountain for which the Foubdry was renowned for making. The same birds adorn the Dunfries drinking fountain and the Paisley Walrus fountain. Note there are spaces on the inside of the bases as they would have been fitted in a circle and the inside edge had a space for fitting. There’s a snall loss to the top of one of the wings as shown in the pictures. Height measurements are also in the pictures. Thanks for looking.
