This listing is for a beautiful antique aesthetic, circa 1890's, all original silver plate and glass pickle castor with blue hobnail glass insert by Homan Mfg. Co. The caddy is 11 1/2 inches high, and is 5 inches wide across the base. The glass insert is 4 1/2 inches high and is 3 inches in diameter across the bottom. This fine silver plate caddy features a round footed base with bas relief details including flowers, leaves and birds. The handle of the caddy has an open work design with scrolling line work. The glass insert is a light blue glass with a raised hobnail pattern throughout. The cover of the jar has a full figure bird finial. The silver plate is marked on verso "HOMAN SILVER PLATE CO QUADRUPLE PLATE 1045". The silver plate pickle castor and glass jar are in very good condition.
