1970s RARE Large French Wool Needlepoint Tapestry "Les Quatre Saisons" (The Four Seasons) Royal Paris Steiner Freres Manner Of Jean Lurçat 35”x27” IMMACULATE. This design was produced in various sizes and this is the largest scale. It features four stylized female figures representing the seasons against a vibrant, surrealist background with foliage and animals. It has been crafted using tapestry wool on a printed canvas, produced by the French company Royal Paris Steiner Freres. This striking piece was handmade in the 70’s by its previous owner then stored away, therefore colours show no fading. How incredible would this look framed and wall displayed!
