A rare piece of British mid-century history. This teak plywood storage bin was manufactured by Schreiber Wood Industries in March 1966 under contract for the Ministry of Defence. It features clearly stamped original markings: Manufacturer: Schreiber Wood Industries Ltd Date: March 1966 NATO Stock Number: 7105-99-120-3785 In good vintage condition with a beautiful natural grain. Originally issued to the military, it’s a rugged and stylish example of 1960s utility design. While the original plastic lid is missing, it makes an excellent open storage bin for vinyl records, linens, or a high-end waste paper basket. Alternatively, it is a perfect base for an upholstery project to create a custom stool.
