Robert Hamilton (1772-1848) arrived in India and started work in Calcutta in 1808. This is a very beautiful spoon and fork set which would make an excellent gift for a baptism or naming ceremony. DATE/MARK: There is a full Indian colonial silver hallmark on the inside which dates the piece to 1960 (date letter 'X'), made by Hamilton and Co Ltd.
