This pewter porringer is stamped "LONDON" and is also marked with a rose, an "X" and the initials B&P, probably for Bush and Perkins who were based in Bristol in the 1780s. This is a very solid well made item that measures 5in in diameter (9in including the two lobed handles). This is very plain and utilitarian piece of domestic tableware which to my mind adds to its appeal. Thanks for looking.
