Lindsey served as Selectman in 1789. Aaron Swan (1740-1817), son of Samuel Swan (1711-1750) and Sarah Patten (1715-1755) boarded his horse in Lindsey’s stable. He married Susannah Elliott in 1765 in Cambridge, Massachusetts, a daughter of Ebenezer Elliott and Susannah Soden.
