While the exact date of mounting is unknown, the wallpaper itself can be confidently dated, with examples ranging from the mid 1700’s through the 1930’s. The hand-printed look, confident line work, and slightly naïve botanical forms give it a wonderfully decorative, almost storybook quality that was popular in the 1910’s–1920’s, bridging late Arts and Crafts influence with early decorative modernism.
